An unobstructed view down Locust from 9th Street

The second skybridge that connected the old St. Louis Centre with Macy’s (Railway Exchange building) has fallen. Glass panels are now being attached to the open facade of the new parking garage that was once the St. Louis Centre shopping mall. They are identical to the panels used on the north side fronting Washington Avenue. The new entrance to the 600 Washington Tower (former One City Center) is now being moved to the corner of 6th & Washington while the lobby along 6th will lead to the elevator banks.

The first tenants ¬†on the ground floor of the old St. Louis Centre have not been officially announced yet but sources are mentioning a CVS pharmacy and Gold’s Gym as the first retailers in the new project. The St. Louis Blues Hall of Fame is eying a move into the Laurel building and plans for a movie theater on the second and third floors adjacent to the new parking garage seem to be in the final stages.
