
Ongoing Repairs at Railway Exchange Building
After removal of the skybridge connecting it to the Old St. Louis Centre, the Railway Exchange Building (Macy’s) is in need of significant repairs to its north facade on Locust. Crews are currently adding new terra cotta tiles.

New rooftop lounge 360
On top of the Hilton at the Ballpark, the new 360 Lounge is starting to take shape. This new addition to downtown is scheduled to open in July. Photos of the rooftop views are now available at www.360-stl.com

The Laurel Building's Washington Ave side

Across from the Mercantile Exchange sits the Laurel (former Dillard’s), the future home of a 212-room Embassy Suites Hotel, 205 apartments and 30,000 s.f. of retail space. An effort to locate a St. Louis Blues Hall of Fame in the building is spearheaded by Todd George, the former general manager for Pinnacle Entertaiment at the Lumière Place and Rivercity Casinos.
The times they are a-changing. Sign at the restaurant on Clark & 10th Street now with new name Joe Buck’s.

Federal Building unwrapped
The Robert A. Young Federal Building a.k.a. “RAY” Building at Spruce & Tucker is slowly but surely being unwrapped.

AT&T adds generator power
Another crane sighting this week, this one at Chestnut between 8th and 9th Streets, hoisting equipment onto the roof of the shorter of the two AT&T towers.

Park Pacific Parking
Construction recently ended on the new parking garage at the Park Pacific Tower. The garage will have 580 spaces. It is facing Tucker in a design that is not to everyone’s liking.

As part of the $79 million renovation of downtown’s main library on Olive, the stairs leading to the main entrance are being completely rebuilt.
