Skating Rink at 14th & Market
After more than a decade ice skating has returned to downtown St. Louis. Across the street from the Peabody Opera House (14th & Market) a temporary ice skating rink has been built that will be operating until January 16th. The rink is situated in Schiller Park and the setting is quite nice. It’s surrounded by trees with nice city views to the south and the newly restored Peabody Opera House sits directly across the street. The statue of German poet Friedrich Schiller ads to the atmosphere, as do the hundreds of overhead lights strung between the trees.
