Aspiring entrepreneurs pay attention. From January 27-29, 2012, the Startup Weekend organization will host a 54-hour event for startup enthusiasts to come together to share ideas, form teams, build products, and launch startups.

Startup Weekend is an event which focuses on building a web or mobile application which could form the basis of a credible business over the course of a weekend. The weekend brings together people with different skill sets – primarily software developers, graphics designers and business people – to build applications and develop a commercial case around them.

In 54 hours entrepreneurs can find out if their business plans are viable. Attendees are encouraged to pitch their ideas, starting with an open mic evening on Friday, and invite others to join their team. They will receive feedback or might be able to find a co-founder for their idea or business startup.

The Startup Weekend organization is supported by the Kauffman Foundation ans has hosted events in cities like Lille, France,  Penang, Malaysia,  St. Petersburg, Russia,  Delhi, India,  Bangkok, Thailand,   Tunis, Tunisia and many more around the world.
